Pioneer Village Named "Caring Star of 2021" for Service Excellence

|

Pioneer Village is pleased to announce it has been selected as a 2021 Caring Star for service excellence in senior living. In consumer ratings and reviews on Caring.com, Pioneer Village earned a 5-star rating (the highest possible score) within the qualification time frame, while also having a high volume of positive reviews, responding to any negative reviews, and meeting other criteria for this national honor. There are only 2 Caring Star 2021 communities in the state of Oregon, and Pioneer Village is among 156 communities across the country for Caring Stars 2021.

"Our mission is to create and sustain comfortable, caring environments for those who depend on us and believe that this award shows that we are continually working to live up to that mission,” said Dora Howard, Executive Director of Pioneer Village

“We are honored that our families and residents have taken the time to share their experience and rate us with positive feedback—especially with the challenges that 2020 brought to all senior care communities. On behalf of our community staff and leadership, thank you to those who shared positive feedback about us, and to Caring.com for recognizing us as a Caring Star of 2021.”

Online reviews help Americans research and select the best senior living communities. Seniors and their families turn to the Internet and consumer reviews when narrowing their options among senior living communities in their area.  They rely on these peer perspectives as much as personal recommendations from friends, geriatric professionals, and medical personnel.

Originally published in January 2012 as the first of its kind, the Caring Stars annual list has become the go-to guide of the best senior living communities nationwide – particularly helpful to families new to this market, or when researching from afar and unfamiliar with local options. To be considered for the award, Caring Stars communities meet a set of criteria based on ratings and reviews from senior living residents and their family members. Caring.com senior care experts also conducted a reviews-integrity audit and other quality-assurance measures before determining the Caring Stars of 2021.

“Congratulations to Pioneer Village for being among these highly-rated communities achieving such significant praise from their customers in online reviews,” Caring.com’s CEO Jim Rosenthal said. “They stand out as among the best in the nation.”

Some of the positive feedback that led to Pioneer Village being a Caring Star of 2021 includes:

During the COVID crisis, they reacted swiftly to the situation and as a result have prevented any outbreaks in the facility.” May 19, 2020

“My husband and I have lived here almost 10 months and appreciated the friendly welcome from residents. They are now our new loving and caring friends! The same results with all staff people! This small, intimate community is just what we needed.” July 17, 2020

“The staff is always caring and helpful to the residents, family, and visitors. This type of surroundings is just what my mom needed to live independently. She feels safe, comfortable, and has a peace of mind knowing there is help right there if she needs it. During COVID, they handled the situation responsibly and sensitively.” June 1, 2020
